36 calculators in three groups

Electrical, construction and HVAC calculators are listed on the home page. Each one shows the result as you type, with the calculation steps and any warnings underneath.

Works with no signal

All calculators and their data are inside the app. There is no server to reach, so the app works offline in a basement, in a crawl space or on a roof.

Jobs and reports

Save any result to a job, for example a customer, a quote or a site, and see every number for that job in one list. Share the job as a PDF or CSV file, or copy it as plain text, with your phone’s share sheet. PDF and CSV export is a Pro feature (see pricing).

History, favourites and units

Recent calculations and your favourite calculators are kept on the device. Switch between imperial and metric, and between a light and a dark theme.

The whole app, its calculators and the PDF and CSV reports follow your device language, or you can pick a language in Settings.

Phone and tablet

BuildWire Calc is available for iPhone and iPad on the App Store and for Android on Google Play.

Private by design

No account, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. Jobs, history and settings stay in the app’s private storage on your device, and Settings has an “Erase all saved data” button. See the privacy policy.

What it is not

The calculators give estimates for planning. They do not replace the electrical or building code, the manufacturer’s data or a qualified professional’s judgement, and copyrighted code tables are not included.
